We don't sell whatever sells; we sell what we have used, tested and validated in the workshop.
Servus is a registered workshop-manufacturer from Maramureș that passes on the materials it uses itself.
Since 2010 we have been working in Maramureș with candles, soaps and raw materials for makers. We started as a workshop. We produced, tested, got things wrong, adjusted recipes and learned that a material is not just a name on a label.
Servus is an active workshop in Romania that makes candles and soaps and passes on materials it also uses in its own production: wax, wicks, fragrances, colourants and other raw materials for makers.
For a maker, what matters is how the wax behaves in the mould, how the wick responds in a blend, what limits a fragrance has and what happens when a long-used recipe no longer turns out the same.
That is what Servus was built on.
We don't just sell wax, wicks, fragrances and colourants. We sell materials that come with technical context, clear limits and diagnosis — so the maker isn't left alone when the raw material doesn't behave as it did yesterday.
What we know is tested. What we don't know, we say. And we don't leave you on your own.
Servus Collection was built by András and Sînziana, starting from the direct experience of a candle and soap workshop in Maramureș.
Sînziana is the workshop voice behind many of Servus's explanations: the person who sees a material not just as a product, but as part of a recipe, a process and a real working day.
Sînziana says: a good material isn't enough if you don't know how to use it, where its limits are and what to check when the result isn't what you expected.
That's why at Servus we try to explain materials as clearly as possible: what we know from testing, what we recommend with caution, and where the maker needs to do their own trials before regular production.
The Workshop Standard is how we work with materials and with the people who use them.
We don't promise universal results. We don't say a material solves any recipe. We don't hide the fact that testing, adjustment and diagnosis are sometimes needed.
When a maker has a problem, we don't treat it as a simple complaint. We ask which material they used, what temperatures, which wick, which mould, which fragrance, what dosage, what cooling time and what has changed compared with earlier tests.
We try to separate the material from the method, the batch from the recipe, the expectation from the real limitation.
Sometimes the answer is simple. Sometimes it isn't. But what matters to us is that the maker gets an honest answer and a direction to check, not just a generic sentence.
This is our process promise: to treat the material seriously and to treat the maker with respect.
Over time, Servus has gathered more than 990 Google reviews, rated 4.9★, from customers who have worked with us, ordered from us or visited us.
For the online store, Google also shows a 5.0★ Store Rating, built from reviews of the shopping experience: delivery, returns, payment options, prices and the quality of the website.
We don't treat these figures as a medal, but as a responsibility. The more people work with Servus materials, the more important it is to communicate clearly what we know, what we don't know and where the real limits of each material are.
Today, Servus still makes candles and soaps and passes on materials to makers, small workshops, handmade producers and people starting to work with candles more consciously.
Our range includes raw materials such as wax, wicks, fragrance oils, colourants and other products used to make handmade candles and cosmetics.
We work with materials we also use in our own production. That doesn't mean a material is right for every project. It means we look at it from a practical point of view: how it is used, what it can do, what it can't do and where it needs testing before regular production.
For us, the technical side is not separate from the human side.
A maker doesn't just need a box sent by courier. They need to understand the material, know which parameters matter, get an honest answer when they ask and not be left alone when problems arise.
Servus is for makers who want to understand the materials they work with better.
It is for those who make candles in moulds, in containers, for events, for small collections or for regular production. It is for those who test, take notes, adjust and want practical answers, not just nice descriptions.
It is also for beginners who want to learn properly before buying at random. If you are at your first tests, you don't need big promises, but simple explanations, clear limits and steps you can check in your own workshop.
We don't work with the idea that there is one answer for every recipe. We work with the right questions, practical observations and materials explained in context.
Servus doesn't explain materials only on product pages.
We also explain them in articles, guides and practical answers for makers on the Servus blog. There we develop the questions that come up often in the workshop: choosing the wax, choosing the wick, how fragrances behave, working temperatures, pouring problems and limits of use.
If you want to start with the technical explanations, go to the Blog.
If you want to understand how we look at materials, start with the Servus Workshop Standard.
Servus keeps permanent stock in Baia Mare and delivers by courier throughout Romania.
Our roots remain the workshop in Maramureș. That is where the way we choose materials, the way we explain them and the way we answer makers comes from.
Servus isn't just about products put in a basket.
It is about materials seen through the eyes of a workshop that has used them, tested them, broken them, understood them better and decided to pass on not just the product, but also the context around it.
We don't sell whatever sells; we sell what we have used, tested and validated in the workshop.
